Digital Gold is a convenient way of purchasing gold online. You can buy, sell or take physical delivery of gold of 999.9 / 24K purity, via a totally digital mechanism. After the purchase of gold by the client, MMTC-PAMP physically stores physical gold of the equivalent value, in an insured and secure vault until redemption for money or delivery of physical gold by the client.

MMTC-PAMP India Pvt. The Gold Locker is the dashboard on the Aditya Birla Capital- Wealth portal that shows the holdings in grams with current valuation in Indian Rupees.

Any individual with verified KYC is eligible to buy gold.

To avail digital gold, begin by registering on Aditya Birla Capital – Wealth platform. PAN details, basic personal Details, Bank Account and Communication details are a part of the registration process. The account is activated post verification of PAN and bank account / address proof submitted.

At the moment, MMTC PAMP is not charging any registration fee for availing the convenience of buying Digital Gold.

Transaction in Joint holding are not permitted.

Transaction by minors are not permitted.

Digital Gold can be bought at the rate displayed on our platform in either Rupees or grams. Currently, the minimum quantity of Gold that can be bought is either Rs 100/- or 1 gram.

The live rate of gold price is linked to the international market rates, the USD-INR exchange rate and applicable customs duty, etc. and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This rate is obtained from MMTC PAMP who is an LBMA accredited Gold refinery. The prices do not include any statutory levies like the applicable rate of GST, which will be charged additionally at the time of purchase. GST is 3% as per current regulations. Similarly, costs associated with delivery, making of coins for delivery, etc. shall be charged additionally, where applicable.

The difference in the buy and sell price is on account of the handling and processing charges. This buy-sell price spread is equivalent to 3%.

• Buy Price: This price is inclusive of handling and processing charges incurred towards Digital Gold.
• Sell Price – This price is not inclusive of any charges and is dependent on the bullion market price.

The live rate changes based on market conditions and is updated frequently. The live price is usually refreshed every 5 minutes.

Capital gains on digital gold held for less than three years are taxable at applicable income tax slab rates. However, long term capital gains tax is applicable on selling digital gold after three years at 20% (+cess+ surcharges) with indexation benefits.

After making the payment, you will receive an invoice and the said quantity will be reflected in your account under gold locker balance. This is almost instantly, in most cases. The amount shown herein will be post deducting the costs associated with the purchase of Digital Gold as well as all statutory levies like GST (or any other applicable levy, as the case maybe). While this document is being prepared, the costs associated with Digital Gold is in the range of 3%. There is also an additional cost of 3% towards GST. Hence, immediately after the purchase is done, the holdings will reflect a fall of roughly 6% (subject to cost of Digital Gold remaining the same). This is simply on account of the costs mentioned above.

Cancellation of a gold purchase post the payment being done is not allowed. If the gold purchase fails for any reason during the journey, the entire amount will be refunded to the applicant.

All the Digital Gold that is sold by MMTC PAMP is backed by the equivalent grammage of physical gold of the same purity that is stored within fully insured & certified vaults located at highly secured premises.

MMTC-PAMP allows you to store gold for free in a physical locker for 5 years as a custody period. After 5 years, there will be an additional storage fee, as applicable.

All the Digital Gold that is sold by MMTC PAMP is backed by the equivalent grammage of physical gold of the same purity that is stored within fully insured & certified vaults located at highly secured premises. MMTC-PAMP has also appointed ‘Universal Trusteeship Services Ltd. (UTSL)’ (unit of Universal Trusteeship Services Ltd. (UTSL) Bank)’ as security trustee for the Gold. The trustee ensures the quality of the gold and that the gold sold to investors is segregated and available in the vaults.

The invoices for all purchases of Digital Gold are generated instantly, post the completion of the purchase journey.

Gold can be sold at the rate displayed on the sell screen – in Rupees or in Grams. The sale amount will get credited to your registered bank account on or before the end of the next business day. Ifthe gold Sell order fails for any reason, the debited amount of gold will be credited back to the locker, the same day.

The value of the sale will be equal to the grammage of Digital Gold sold multiplied by the current live price at the moment of the sale transaction.

Digital gold already purchased can be sold right from the next day of the purchase.

All Digital Gold sale orders are accompanied by an invoice.

In the unlikely event of non-receipt of money within the prescribed timelines post the ale of Digital Gold, please write to us at support@equityseeds.in quoting full details of the transaction including the PAN # of the user, the time of the sale, the quantity of Gold sold & the price at that time.

The quantity & denomination of the gold to be delivered should be selected from the available options of coins on Dashboard. Each coin will have different making charges, based on the weight and design of the coin and is shown at the time of the selection. The delivery order is confirmed post payment of this additional making and delivery charges, as maybe applicable. Gold will be delivered at notified address subject to the PIN code being serviceable for the logistics partner

The standard for the 24K gold to be delivered, is set by London Bullion Market Association (LBMA). MMTC-PAMP meets the LBMA’s stringent standards across the production cycle for precious metals.

The minimum quantity required for gold delivery is 0.5 gram.

MMTC-PAMP is India’s first and only accredited London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) Gold refinery. The gold coins are directly dispatched from MMTC-PAMP manufacturing unit. All the coins are delivered in sealed packaging. All dispatches are camera recorded at the time of dispatch. Please do not accept any tampered package. Yes, a nominal making and delivery fee is charged for every gold delivery request. The making charges are towards costs of manufacturing / minting the Gold coin requested. Delivery charges are the logistics cost to deliver high value gold safely to desired location. All these costs will be displayed and collected before the delivery order is processed.

Delivery of the physical Gold at an address apart from the one registered is possible, subject to receipt and verification of an acceptable address proof.

Every delivery of Gold is facilitated by an OTP sent by the logistic partner to the registered mobile number of the client. The same will need to be provide to the delivery person. Package will only be handed over only post verification of the OTP.

Gold can only be delivered to the designated person as mentioned in the delivery request.

Delivery generally happens within 14 working days from the time of placing the order. An intimation will be received on the registered mobile number and email ID.

Delivery to the registered address will be attempted three times. If the designated person is not available at mentioned address to accept the delivery all the three times, the package shall be returned to MMTC-PAMP. A fresh request including payment of applicable charges will need to be made, for delivery.

In case the product is out of stock, the charges paid at the time of delivery request will be refunded.

Cancellation of a gold delivery request post the payment being done is not allowed.

If the Pin Code where delivery is sought is not serviceable, an option to accumulate and sell on the portal is the only alternative.

All the parcels are despatched in sealed condition. All clients are urged to not accept any package where the seal looks damaged. If damaged parcels are accepted, Aditya Birla Capital – Wealth and MMTC PAMP take no responsibility for the contents of the same.

In the unlikely event of this entity going into bankruptcy of any such event, Universal Trusteeship Services Ltd.(UTSL)’ (unit of Universal Trusteeship Services Ltd.(UTSL) Bank) acts as an independent trustee to ensure customer interests are protected. The trustee has sole and exclusive charge of the customers’ physical gold held in the vault & will begin the lawful process of ensuring the handing over of the gold or its value, as the case maybe.

Keeping all IDs and Passwords secure is a responsibility of every client. In the unlikely event of a fraud or a hack, clients are encouraged to lodge a formal complaint with the cyber cell of the local area. A copy of the FIR is to be sent to Care.Wealth@adityabirlacapital.com for further course of action, as prescribed by the law enforcement authorities.

In the unfortunate event of a buyer’s death, the legal heirs can request for delivery of gold purchased. The relevant documents including but not only, that are required for due diligence to process the request are acceptable identity & address proofs of the claimant; Original or notarised copy of the death certificate, Legal Heir Certificate or Succession Certificate. The final list of all such documents required shall be confirmed by MMTC PAMP, at that time.
